Prosperous mountain dragon & lion dance

Prosperous Mountain Dragon and Lion Dance (PMDLD), also known as Canberra Lion Dance, was formed by youths in 2007 to become Canberra's first locally-based lion dance troupe. They are a small but growing non-profit community organisation. They welcome people of all ages and nationalities to participate in this fun, physical, and traditional art form. They train and perform different routines throughout the year and have a wide range of different vibrant lions and dragons to suit any occasion.

Prosperous Mountain have proven delivery of culturally authentic, immersive and high quality performances for any event. Their powerful percussion and friendly mascots heightens the experience. Our 14 years of performing across Canberra and the region, as well as interstate, provides confidence that they can tailor the best performance for any sized event. They love performing for community events, private functions such as weddings, birthdays and grand openings, and also continue to perform at high profile events due to our proven track record of always delivering high quality performances.
